The beginning of Februari 2019 the Scottish village Oban was the stage of an unusual engineering job: the replacement of a linkspan.

Engineering company George Leslie Ltd. from Glasgow was called in for the construction and installation of the new linkspan. Hapo’s craneship the Lara 1, which permanently operates in the UK, took care of lifting the (old and new) linkspan and the transport from Glasgow to Oban.

Early Februari a photoreport made by Scottish Photography Productions was shared on (our) social media. Now we are happy to present an excellent timelapse video made by Timelapse Scotland. This clearly shows that it was a difficult and challenging job, which was completed with due care and therefore to the satisfaction of George Leslie Ltd.
