Missing Link @ Wereldhavendagen
Traditionally, the first weekend of September the “Wereldhavendagen” (World Port Days) take place in and around the Port of Rotterdam. The aim is to provide the public a behind the scenes look of the port of Rotterdam, among other things through ship visits, exhibitions on the water and presentations by companies active in and around the Port. This yearly event attracts many visitors (2018: 380,000). Nowadays, an important part is the musical show and the fireworks on the Saturday evening on the Nieuwe Maas, near the Erasmus Bridge.
Hapo has been active in the Port of Rotterdam for more than 30 years in ship salvage, hoisting work, heavy lift and heavy transport. Our cranebarge the ‘Missing Link‘ will be present at the Wereldhavendagen on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 September. The Missing Link will also be part of the big evening show on Saturday. We will keep the further details to our own, for now.
Because of the close cooperation with Hapo, Scheepssloperij Nederland (SSN) will give a number of demonstrations on deck of the Missing Link with e.g. a hydraulic cutter, to promote environmentally responsible ship scrapping we are accustomed to.
