Last month our cranebarge the Missing Link was deployed by Koole Mammoet Salvage for wreck removal of the stern of the Cypriotic bulkcarrier ‘Server’. The unloaded ship stalled and broke on the rocks of the island Fedje in 2007. Around 290 tons of heavy oil leaked into the sea. 25 crewmembers were saved by helicopter. Prior to the wreck removal divers cut the stern into smaller sections to make the parts better hoistable for the Missing Link.
