The headoffice is located in Rotterdam and with maritime real estate in Rotterdam, Ridderkerk and 's-Gravendeel Hapo is complete. Hapo is specialised in providing pontons, crane barges, heavy machinery and other special equipment for salvaging shipwrecks, off- or onshore operations involving heavy lift, and heavy lifting transport.

Hapo owns a diverse fleet of heavy machinery, cranes and ships that are used everywhere in the world. All equipment meets the highest requirements in maintenance, resulting in a clean safety record and an extremely low percentage of failure.
As general contractor with more than 30 years of experience in salvage and wreck recycling Hapo with former sister company Scheepssloperij Nederland (SSN) has become expert in salvaging and safe recycling of vessels, shipwrecks, offshore-platforms and other objects. In a large variety of projects Hapo has stepped forward and taken the lead to secure the best end result. SSN and Hapo have both been involved in salvaging car carrier ‘Tricolor‘ and container carriers ‘MSC Napoli‘, ‘MSC Nikita‘ and ‘Rokia Delmas‘. From 2012 to 2016 Hapo has exploited its Jack-Up Barge LISA-A, which was used as a ‘Power Generation Facility‘ with gasturbines providing the oilfield Widuru with energy in the Java sea.

Hapo has been involved in quite some prestigious maritime projects. When working with our customers and maritime partners, Hapo has also purchased and recycled substantial amounts of Scrap Metals. Hapo has the required versatile heavy lift equipment and flat top barges, as well as bulk barges for storage and transport of scrap metals. Hapo is always interested in (large quantities of) scrap metals and is committed to provide customers with a fair and competitive price.
