Built in 2014 by Damen shipyards for ALE as the Hydrodeck. By whom she was engineered for extreme tidal Ro‑Ro operations.
In 2021, the barge (then renamed Hua Dian Bo Qiang 02) underwent a major structural and operational upgrade, including the installation of a double bottom under the air tanks and the integration of two winch decks where now a total of six 50‑ton winches are fitted.
With this conversion, the barge is now far more suitable for long haul towage, beaching operations and offshore heavy‑lift or construction activities, including crane‑supported work scopes.
The pontoon is equipped with 6 50t positioning winches, of which 2 are arranged on the forward winch tweendeck and 4 are arranged on the rear winch tweendeck. Each winch is equipped with guiding pulley device, cable guide and 8t Delta anchor, and the anchor cable end is equipped with short anchor chain.
